Learn How to Eat for Healthy Bones

My name is Nancy Robinson, and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in Osteoporosis Nutrition. I too, am fighting off the effects of osteoporosis, as have some of my family members. I want to share everything I’ve learned about eating for healthy bones so I created this website as a resource to help others challenged by osteoporosis.

The Food 4 Osteoporosis Eating Plan and website are designed to give people with, or trying to prevent, osteoporosis or osteopenia, guidance and assistance in eating healthy meals that will support strong bones and a decreased risk of fractures.

Food 4 Osteoporosis Eating Plans and individualized Dietitian Nutritionist consultations provide guidance on:

  • Getting your calcium from food not supplements
  • Working more fruits and vegetables into your diet
  • Meeting protein needs for strong bones
  • Balancing high acid foods with alkaline foods
  • Evaluating IF any supplements are needed and the most cost effective options

On this website...

you will find information about osteoporosis and how what you eat, or don’t eat, affects your  bones. You can learn about getting calcium from food, the alkaline diet theory, and the importance of fruits and vegetables to healthy bones. Check out the Eating Blog for updates on the latest osteoporosis nutrition research, recipes, and answers to commonly asked questions.

I have developed Eating Plans to assist you in planning and maintaining a healthy diet designed with osteoporosis in mind. I offer a free demo plan so you can see how the plan works with no obligation or committment. If you find my Eating Plan of interest you can purchase a full plan with 13 weeks of menus, grocery lists, recipes for healthy eating, and more. Both the demo and the full plans are now delivered directly to you by email without any need to login.

There are also two 4-week plans that I offer in Kindle and printed versions through Amazon.

I am available for one on one consultations to help you even further. Public speaking engagements can be arranged by contacting me by email to schedule.

Check the Eating Plans & More tab above to find out more.

Important: The Eating Plan is not a substitute for individualized care by a physician. Individuals with additional health challenges and complications including, but not limited to diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, irritable bowel syndrome or celiac disease should work directly with a Registered Dietitian that specializes in these conditions.
